As a board-certified internist with a fellowship in sports medicine from the Hospital for Special Surgery, she has spent her career at the intersection of performance and evidence — which makes her uniquely qualified to evaluate the growing category of recovery and longevity products.

She served as a team physician for two professional sports organizations over a combined seven years, where she developed strong opinions about the gap between what athletes are sold and what actually moves the needle on recovery, sleep quality, and injury resilience. She is deeply skeptical of products that conflate correlation with causation in their marketing — and she is not shy about saying so in her reviews.

Dr. Nair is a WHOOP and Oura Ring power user with four years of continuous biometric data, which she uses as a reference baseline when evaluating wearable devices and sleep products. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has practiced Ashtanga for 15 years, giving her a practitioner's perspective on recovery modalities that most physicians lack.

Testing Philosophy

"The recovery category has a massive placebo problem. People feel better after using a $500 device because they paid $500 for it and they want it to work. My job is to separate the signal from the expectation. I use my own biometric data as a baseline and I'm rigorous about controlling variables. If I can't see it in the data, I don't count it."
